Society of Geoinformatics Engineers




        The Society of Geoinformatics Engineers is a student council functioning since 2004, exclusively for the students of Anna University pursuing a degree in Geoinformatics Engineering. The Society of Geoinformatics Engineers intends on improving the skills of students in the domain of Remote Sensing and GIS, and also on moulding them into eminent professionals to render valuable service to the community. SGE hosts Celestia and GeoHorizon two powerful technical events with the vision of augmenting their skills and knowledge and aims to provide a creative learning environment.

SPATIA

        Spatia is a yearly technical magazine published by the Society of Geoinformatics Engineers. This year's edition focuses on the recent technological advancements in the Geospatial industry. It also includes articles enlightening students about various career opportunities in the field of Geoinformatics. In addition, the activities conducted by the society such as workshops and lectuers by various geospatial experts have been added to the edition.
